Hola 2010
So the new year has come and I’m excited to that say that after the stomach flu and head cold and alcohol poisoning that brought in this new year and the painful days of rest that were required in order to overcome it, it’s now time to enjoy the rest of the fun filled days this year has left.
Goals and ideas are pouring out faster than ever and 2010 will definitely be a great year. Training schedules in the fall were a success and we had a good number of people participate, revisions will be made and they will constantly get better as I learn more and more about the process.
My elbow had been tweaked by a funky problem at the Climber’s Rock comp back in November and my training started before that healed, so training went really well for a while but then during Christmas the head cold came, muscles got weaker, and training had to slow down and finally stop for due to my elbow.
Nothing has really been injured and everything is fixing itself nicely, my elbow is getting better and the rest of my body is fixing itself at the same time so that the Mexico trip can be at full strength.
I hope everyone has a great, very happy year and that all of us can continue to say again and again that life just continues to get better as each year passes.
I am off to Mexico on Monday for a 5 week trip which is hopefully going to include some amazing First Ascents and hard repeats. Sends or not, it is going to be a trip and I will have pictures all along the way. I will continue to post updates on my Mexican status, and what’s going on south of the border
See you all later ,
Mark Smith
