Fashion Television shows us some love.

Beta’s always been proud of our commitment to creating athletic attire and we’re dedicated to making the best clothes we can locally and responsibly.

But we’re also very serious about the fashion side of performance fashion.  Beta believes that it’s all well and good to stick by your principles when you make yer threads but what good is it if no one thinks your clothes are cool enough to wear?  After all, we did win a very prestigious award at fashion week a few years back…

So we were very excited and über-grateful to get some love from no less an authority on the state of Canadian fashion than FashionTelevision.com for our sense of style.

beta wins the ford fashion award…

yes we won an award and it was awesome…but we didn’t let it change us. The glitz and the glamour, the papporatzi, the money, they all have an effect on lesser brands but we have remained very humble…

i mean truthfully, we didn’t need to win an award to know that we were the best. :)

official uniform provider for the Canadian National Open Climbing Teams

in spring 2008, Beta Clothing Designs Inc. was given the opportunity by the CCC/CEC (Competition Climbing Canada/Compétition d’escalade Canada) to design and produce the Canadian National Open Division Climbing team uniforms. This uniform was showcased at the World Cup in Vail, Colorado.

the uniform is comprised of two parts: a warm-up/presentation component (consisting of a zip-up hoodie and full-length pant) and gender-specific performance pieces (a women’s tank and capris and a men’s muscle tee and short).

the design was carefully crafted to address the physical needs of the climbers while upholding the aesthetic sensibilities of modern athletic apparel. This was accomplished through a selection of cutting edge, high performance fabrics and a tailored cut that ensured freedom of movement.  A patriotic red and white colour-blocked palette was adhered to, to help produce a strong visual and emotional image for the Canadian National Team.

beta is excited to extend its partnership with the CEC/CCC over the coming years, and looks forward to the opportunity to continue to supply uniforms to the Canadian National Team.

it seems only fitting that Canada’s finest competitive climbers be outfitted in Canada’s leading Performance Fashion.
